Strategic facilities complexes run to the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism have played a vital part in our position as industry leaders. Our original 15-acre flagship complex at Madapatha houses the plant responsible for assembling Bajaj three-wheelers which are brought down in knocked down form. Due to overwhelming demand, this complex has seen tremendous expansion of output since its inception in 1994. The complex is also a showcase of good environmental management and is committed to ‘good house-keeping’, through the practice of the 5S concept. The technological efficiency of the complex is only matched by our adherence to the highest health and safety standards at work. In recognition of its excellence, the Madapatha complex has won numerous awards including 5S merit awards, National Safety Merit Awards, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certifications. Meanwhile, to keep pace with consumer demand for two-wheelers, the motorcycle assembly operation was shifted to new premises at Madapatha.

DPMC also has extensive facilities complexes at Bandaragama, which house the Pre-Delivery Inspection unit for Chery cars, a workshop, logistics unit and warehouses. The logistics department at Bandaragama is the ‘nerve centre’ for the distribution of spare parts to all corners of the island and plays a vital part in our role as the largest overseas spare parts operator of Bajaj Auto.  The new Chery Pre-Delivery Inspection unit, which was opened in 2006, uses the latest vehicle inspection systems and technologies to ensure that our latest line of vehicle, the Chery QQ cars, take to the road in perfect condition. Other facilities at this complex include an auditorium and a training centre.
